Decision 2012: Keepers

THAT"S RIGHT FOLKS, way more important than some namby-pamby Presidential election, it's officially time to start thinking about your Keeper selections for this season. Originally I stated that I wanted your Keeper picks in at draft time, but after consultation with the triumverant council of Fantasy Wisdom, I have decided that Keeper picks should be turned in a week ahead of time this year. This will give all those that give a hoot a weeks worth of prep time with the substantial knowledge that will be bestowed upon them.

BUT, I will put a Doomsday clause into effect to protect anyone's Keeper from catastrophic events in the week leading up to the draft. For example, if Tom Brady blows out his knee in a preseason game, three days before the draft, Travis will then be allowed to change his keeper pick to someone who will actually play this year, ie. Shaky Smithson.


HOWEVER, this Doomsday clause is just that, a fail-safe for worst case scenarios. You cannot change your pick just because Matt Stafford threw 4 INTs in the final preseason game, and you have decided that you would rather pick up Peyton Hillis off waivers and keep him instead.

SO CHOOSE WISELY, my friends, and if you need a refresher on how many keepers you have, and what positions you can keep, scroll down to the Trading Bonanza post for details, because I'm lazy and don't feel like retyping.

YOU CAN TURN IN your selections to me anytime between now and the 18th of August and I will post them here on the blog. However, no selections will be final until August 18th @ 2:00PM. So, if you want to be a Sneaky Sammy and put up fake Keeper selections, go for it, but don't come crying to me (B-Hall) when you forget to change them before the deadline and you're stuck with Dan Orlovsky as a Keeper.

BTW, the protocol for turning in picks can be met in a number of ways.
1) Tell me in person
2) Text or call me on la telephona
3) Post them in the comments section of this post
4) Post them on the message board titled KEEPERS which I am about to create.

AS LONG as your final picks are submitted one of those four ways by 2:00PM on the 18th of August, you can change them as many times as you dang well please.

TO GET THE PROVERBIAL BALL ROLLING I will go ahead and post my keeper picks as soon as I finish this post. You certainly do not have to do them as early as I am, and I still might change mine, but I just wanted to go ahead and get something up there. Okay, good luck with your picks, and remember to vote for Philbama in the November election, that is unless you're a Daveny supporter. Either way, you can't go wrong with one of those handsome devils.
